Partnerships in Clinical Trials 2012

John Clark
Senior Account Manager

The 2012 Partnerships Conference was well organized and the venue at the Marriott World Center Orlando was a perfect spot. It appeared that all sessions were well attended and the conference hall had a lot of traffic each time I had a chance to visit. In addition, the level of attendees was high, there were plenty of decision makers and C level personal in attendance.

Partnerships is a more intimate gathering than some of the other conferences I have attended. Because so many folks attend that are involved in clinical research, this conference creates the perfect environment to meet and discuss plans out of our offices. I personally would have preferred to have the exhibit area open up earlier in the day but there was time to talk with the exhibitors during the reception and the other times the exhibit area was open.

There were plenty of sessions including Strategic Outsourcing, Operational Excellence, eClinical Technology & Data Management Operational Management of Global Trials, Best Clinical Trial Practices for your Medical Device Trial and Future Trends in Clinical Research. I really enjoyed the eClinical Technology & Data Management sessions. The common theme was the many benefits of aligning partnerships through CRO and Sponsor channels to improve the efficiency and efficacy in clinical trials. Another talking point was the benefits of technology integration and the collaboration of data to reduce cycle times, improve quality and compliance.

So in summary, it was a great conference…great location…and great meeting place.
