DATATRAK International, Inc. has the longest-standing history of any technology (EDC) provider in the clinical trials industry. DATATRAK initiated an EDC focus in 1995 and acquired its own product suite from EDS Germany in January 1998. This product suite was renamed DATATRAK EDC® and matured through multiple versions and advancements while the Company continued to make impressive progress in the emerging EDC global market.
Despite annualized growth rates in revenue of 40 to 60 percent from 2002 through 2005 and an excellent EDC solution that was being utilized in hundreds of clinical trials in more than 50 countries, the Management Team at DATATRAK believed that the next iteration in the clinical trials market was going to be a movement towards a unified, multi-component software architecture that would leave behind the cumbersome nature and expense of disparate, integrated solutions.
In February 2006, when faced with a classic “build versus buy” scenario, DATATRAK acquired the most complete and unified software architecture developed by ClickFind, Inc. of Bryan, Texas. The product suite, which contained 11 different clinical trial functions and unique collaboration and workflow capabilities, was re-branded DATATRAK eClinical®.
In October 2010 DATATRAK expanded further, forming a new department, DATATRAK Clinical and Consulting Services (DCCS). DCCS incorporated DATATRAK’s operations support services group providing learning solutions, Help Desk, trial design, and project management with an expanded support service, clinical data management support where the DCCS group can take clinical trials from protocol design to analyzable data sets. DCCS works with all customers to support their needs as well as working closely with the DATATRAK Connect program partners to expand business capabilities and offerings.
To better convey the benefits of our unified platform, the DATATRAK eClinical® suite has been rebranded as DATATRAK ONE™. DATATRAK ONE™ provides an end-to-end clinical enterprise solution by empowering clinical users and service providers with the components necessary for efficiently designing, delivering and managing your clinical trials. Because DATATRAK ONE™’s products tie together seamlessly, there is no need to make complex data connections. In providing a simple, easy-to-use tool set, the DATATRAK ONE™ solution safely accelerates your drug or device to market. The DATATRAK ONE™ unified product suite includes the following seven products: uCTMS™, uDesign™, uECD™, uIRT™, uSafety™, uTrain™ and uCDR™.
