Trial Designer

Reports To:

Manager, Project Design

Responsibilities:

The Trial Designer is responsible for all study design activities for customer projects using the DATATRAK eClinical product suite. This includes:

  • Assigned as Team Member for the assigned project, responsible to provide status of assigned tasks, and reviews all risks and schedules.
  • Responsible for designing the DataArchitect based on customer requirements. This includes translating project specifications from clients to develop electronic case report forms for multiple clinical trials, creating reports, and exporting.
  • Provide second line of helpdesk support for issues specifically related to trials designed by the Trial Designer.
  • Responsible for ensuring all requirements are documented and tracked appropriately.
  • Responsible for ensuring issues found within the DataArchitect (bugs, peer review findings, client issues, etc) are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide input for software enhancement by communicating internal and external user requests to the System Owner.
  • Must be eligible at the time of hire to meet and continue to conform with all regulatory, professional and ethical standards associated with Good Clinical Practice.
  • This position may require specific update access to studies based on contracted services. This access may include, but is not limited to, Lab Data Import, Double Data Entry, and general trial support functionality (reconcile, update form types, delete forms, etc.)

Qualifications/Skills:

  • General knowledge of the clinical trials industry.
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational, analytical, and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Proven experience in basic programming using a programming language.
  • Proven experience with MS Office, HTML, XML, TextPad.
  • Experience with clinical databases and commonly used back-end systems (Oracle Clinical, Clintrial, SAS) preferred but not required.
