More information at your fingertips, less time searching for answers... this is what you can expect from the upcoming release of the DATATRAK eClinical™ 2008 Q3 Release.
Standard Reports
Information you can use... We added more standard reporting to the study homepage for all trials. This includes time averages for various study activities (i.e. avg. SDV to Lock time, avg. Data Entry to SDV time), statistics about queries and alerts, form counts (type and status), and a breakdown of data point status (SDV, Locked, etc.). Links to several other standard reports are also provided on the study homepage.
DataGenie™
More ways to combine data... Union Reports are available in DataGenie, our ad hoc reporting tool. These reports give you the flexibility to combine existing reports of like structure. For example, if you have similar forms, you can now review them in a single dataset, eliminating the need for transposing data in most cases. Other changes include the ability to sort and edit parameter choices and various modifications that support existing functionality.
Internationalization
Expanding the Global Capabilities... Our platform was designed to be multi-lingual and now includes Japanese/Kanji-character translation. All clinical portions of the platform are now completely internationalized and ready to support trials in other languages.
Documentation
Read and be enlightened... We have added documentation in two areas that may be of interest to you. The first is the addition of User Administration in our Clinical Process Manual. This describes the process of adding, editing, and removing users in eClinical. The second is the addition of System Requirements which will help users troubleshoot connectivity problems.
Miscellaneous Enhancements
Other changes you will find useful... The Query Manager now filters on Data Point Changes. You can see if your team members have responded to your query without going to the form or waiting for them to update the query with a response.
Training sites now display a clear indication that they are not "live" sites and only test data should be entered in those casebooks. The data import framework has also been enhanced to be more dynamic.
Enterprise Manager
Improved management of your Enterprise... Along with the standard report that shows a breakdown of data item status, Enterprise Manager also displays the number of data items manually entered, imported, calculated, etc. These are broken down by site and totaled for you as well. We also have the ability to total users by role at each site and across the study.
In the past, the ability existed to gather information about who had signed our End User License Agreement (EULA) and when. We've simplified this process and made it easier to get this information faster and more efficiently.
Designer Changes
For those Do-It-Yourself folks... There are a handful of reserved words that should not be used as keywords within the design of a clinical application. All of these are listed in the Help Center under the DataArchitect Manual, but they will also be caught by the compiler if you accidentally use one of them. The compiler will also catch an inconsistency between the study start date and the study date format and prompt you to correct it.
We have also upgraded the engine that processes the DataArchitect files when compiling reducing the number of invalid file errors that some of our designers have had in the past.
The eClinical 2008 Q3 Release will be made available on Saturday, September 27th, 2008. This upgrade will require downtime for approximately 8 hours starting at Noon on the 27th. Please contact your DATATRAK Project Manager or Marketing Department for more information on the release, or with any questions regarding DATATRAK eClinical.
